Who is the most popular person in India?

In the ongoing RMN Poll “Who is the most popular person in India?” voters are being asked to vote their favorite person in a list of 10 candidates.

The idea of the poll is to rank these popular people in the order of their acumen and ability to serve the masses in the country.

In alphabetical order, the candidates are: Aamir Khan, Arvind Kejriwal, Baba Ramdev, Barkha Dutt, Kanhaiya Kumar, Mayawati, Narendra Modi, Navjot Singh Sidhu, Priyanka Gandhi, and Sushma Swaraj.

As of today, Baba Ramdev tops the list and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal is at the bottom.

Kejriwal’s poor performance in the poll was expected because people have rejected him completely. After winning the Delhi election, Kejriwal failed to manage the affairs of Delhi.

Although it is largely believed that India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a popular person in India because of his huge media presence, Modi’s rank is a poor 8 in the list. Many factors – particularly his demonetization decision – have gone against Modi.

Among the other popular candidates, Priyanka Gandhi is at No. 2 and Sushma Swaraj is at No. 4.

As the poll is still running, the name of the most popular Indian will be announced on or after January 31, 2017. All the people from India and abroad can vote their favorite candidate.
