After Oscars, Time for Hollywood Film Awards

Osacrs thing would have come and gone, but awards fever is not yet over. Get ready for another film awards ceremony.

Now, the Hollywood Film Awards has decided to celebrate Hollywood cinema and recognize excellence in Hollywood, both in-front and behind the camera – in fact, for the 17th consecutive year.

This year the Hollywood Film Awards Gala ceremony takes place on October 21, 2013, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, in Beverly Hills.

According to the organizers, in the last 10 years, a total of 96 Oscar nominations and 34 Oscars were given to the honorees of the Hollywood Film Awards.

“We are very excited,” exclaimed Hollywood Film Awards founder, Carlos de Abreu.

The criteria for the recipients are based on their body of work and/or one or more films that are to be released within the calendar year.

The event is now open for submissions in these genres: Features (all genres including animation, drama, comedy, horror), Docs, and Shorts (including animation). Submission deadline is March 30, 2013.
