He said that the chief minister (CM) Arvind Kejriwal’s government has violated the rules in the appointment of the daughter of Health Minister Satender Jain as a Consultant and appointment of a relative of Kejriwal Dr. Nikunj Aggarwal as OSD

Further elaborating the corruption cases, Tiwari said that when the office of the erstwhile Secretary to CM Rajender Kumar was raided the CM had presented it as a case of personal prejudice.

Tiwari said Kejriwal tried to pressurize the Central Government but after some days it was proved that Rajender Kumar had committed corruption. Thereafter, according to Tiwari, Kejriwal never discussed the topic.

Tiwari said when yesterday the office of the Health Secretary Tarun Sim was raided, Kejriwal tried to show it as a conspiracy whereas the truth is that the Lt. Governor had ordered for the removal of this officer on 30th September, 2016 but Kejriwal did not accept this decision.

According to Tiwari, Tarun Sim has caused a loss of Rs. 10.5 crore to the public exchequer in the process of appointing three private security agencies for the hospitals.

Tiwari also said that there are several public welfare schemes under the Health Department for which the Central Government also contributes hundreds of crores of rupees every year to the Delhi Government.

The Central Government has been releasing funds to Delhi Government under various health schemes and also reminding the Kejriwal Government from time to time to setup monitoring committee.

According to Tiwari, the Lt. Governor of Delhi and the Central Health Department had written a letter to the Delhi Government in this connection on 10th November, 2016 and 20th February, 2017.

Tiwari also said that a Member of Parliament (MP) has to be appointed as the Chairman of this city- level monitoring committee.

“All the MPs of Delhi are from BJP and hence due to the political malice, Kejriwal Government has not set up the required committee for monitoring the expenditure of amount granted for health services,” Tiwari stated.

He added that Kejriwal Government knows that there is corruption and irregularities everywhere including health services, distribution of free medicines, management of hospitals, Mohalla Clinics and Health Department.

“In order to cover up this corruption, Delhi Government is not setting up monitoring committee under the chairmanship of MPs,” Tiwari said.
