India’ Congress party, which is fast losing its space in the political arena, is now making an attempt to save the party from an imminent extinction.

In order to run the traditional outfit with modern skills, it has created a new interface under the banner All India Professionals’ Congress (Professionals’ Congress or AIPC). It is supposed to allow domain experts to join politics to help Congress survive and thrive.

The professionals in different fields are expected to contribute their expertise in diverse areas of governance such as economy, employment, urban development, environment, healthcare, and education.

It is believed that the new initiative will transform Congress to help it perform better in the 2019 Lok Sabha election.

A Congress Member of Parliament (MP) Shashi Tharoor is leading the project as the AIPC chairman.
