Digitas New Issue of iPad App Digitas Cache

Global integrated brand agency Digitas announced Tuesday the launch of Digitas Cache II, an interactive publication. The second in the series, the app is collection of essays, experiences, and sample technologies that investigate today’s ever-changing media landscape.

Built in Adobe Air, the app takes advantage of the latest technologies available for an interactive and informative experience. Offering a glimpse into the creativity, innovation and thought leadership that drives the industry, the publication features experts and thought leaders from a variety of capabilities at Digitas, informs the agency.

While traditional brand management companies are now embracing new-media platforms for brand communications, Japanese brand agency Dentsu has introduced iButterfly Plus, a social game for smartphones. It is now available in 86 countries and regions.

iButterfly Plus comes with a function that enables players to register other users met through the game as friends, and to disseminate information regarding captured butterflies on Facebook and Twitter. (Read: How to Catch Butterflies with Your Smartphone)

The buttoned-down communications companies have realized that now they need to play with the new rules of the digital world if they want to stay in the fast-paced game.

As Public Relations (PR) has been the weakest link in the communications activity, measurement professionals, PR agencies and clients from 33 countries attended the recent Lisbon Summit to chart a course for the future of public relations research, measurement and evaluation. Such steps were required, as PR business is mostly run in a totally unprofessional and unethical way. It’s believed that those who are incapable of doing anything come and join PR profession.

This is the second issue from Digitas. The first issue of Cache targeted key industry trends — from mobile to social to emerging technology to data and location-based design. 

Moreover, the agency also recently released the Digitas Trends app for the iPad, a compilation of 45 trends across six categories: culture, data, devices, media, mobile, social.
