Digital communications event India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2018 ended in New Delhi today. This year’s event with the theme “New Digital Horizons – Connect. Create. Innovate.”, established the IMC as a regular platform for global and local stakeholders in the technology markets.

India’s communications minister Manoj Sinha had inaugurated the 3-day event on October 25. The event focused on the startup ecosystem.

Government claimed that over 200 startups participated in the event, displaying their products in areas such as artificial intelligence, integrated services, healthcare, pharma, security, safety, food, sports, social networking, travel, education, and disaster management.

He added that the initiatives and reforms will provide a strong boost to employment generation and digital economic activity – especially in the rural and semi-rural areas of the country.
