Melanie Fiona to Release The MF Life

Melanie Fiona has announced the release of her sophomore album, THE MF LIFE. The Grammy Award winning singer and songwriter will release her sophomore album for Universal Republic Records / Title 9 / SRC THE MF LIFE on March 20, 2012.

Just last week, “Fool For You,” the hit song she co-wrote with Cee-Lo Green scored Grammy Awards for “Best Traditional R&B Performance” and “Best R&B Song.”

The album features production from Salaam Remi (Amy Winehouse), No ID (Kanye West, JAY Z, Rihanna), and Andrea Martin (Melanie Fiona’s #1 hit, “It Kills Me”), as well as guest appearances from NAS, John Legend, B.o.B, and J. Cole, and writing from Drake.

The album’s current single. “4 AM” has over 4 million views on VEVO and sets the perfect tone for Melanie’s newest musical offering, according to Universal Republic Records – a division of Universal Music Group.

“My fans are loyal and genuine and they’re definitely in it for the music. I’m sticking to my motto of making good music. I just want to get out there and share my music with people,” stated Melanie Fiona.

Melanie Fiona’s 2009 debut, The Bridge, reached No. 4 on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart, No. 4 on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums Chart, and No. 10 on the Billboard Tastemaker Albums Chart.

In addition, the album was certified gold in Europe. She’s received multiple BET Award, NCAAP Image Award, and Juno Award nominations as well as being crowned “Best New Artist” at the 2010 Soul Train Awards.
