President Obama to Deliver Iran Deal Speech

The U.S. President Barack Obama will give a foreign policy address with a particular focus on the Iran Deal at American University’s School of International Service on Wednesday, August 5.

The White House chose American University (AU), because it is where John F. Kennedy made his 1963 speech on nuclear disarmament and world peace.

The speech will be streamed live on the White House website, and archival video of the speech will be provided on American University’s website.

The nuclear agreement with Iran is of special relevance this week, as Thursday, August 6, is the 70th anniversary of the Hiroshima bombing. The AU Museum at the Katzen Arts Center is holding a Hiroshima-Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Exhibition through August 16.

Located in Washington, D.C., the American University provides opportunities for academic excellence, public service, and internships in the nation’s capital and around the world.
