Registration for the 2015 Beijing Hyundai Beijing Marathon has begun. The annual 42.195km race is scheduled to be held on September 20 from 7:30am, race organizers have announced.

According to the Beijing Marathon Organizing Committee, 2015 marks the 35th anniversary of the founding of the Beijing Marathon. Race organizers announced several changes for Beijing Marathon 2015.

Firstly, starting from 2015, the annual IAAF Gold Label Race will only offer the full marathon (42.195) event, which means the Beijing Marathon will become the very first full-marathon only race in China.

Secondly, a team run is introduced for the first time, allowing a maximum of 7 persons to run as a team to compete with others to win the team run title. Thirdly, the race organizers have adjusted the course of the route to pass by more of the landmarks of Beijing.

International participants may register from July 10 at 11am to August 10 at 11am. All registrants during this period will be guaranteed to participate in the race.
