International soccer superstar and World Cup hero Carli Lloyd will join a slate of keynote speakers for the Pennsylvania Conference for Women, organizers announced Monday.

Lloyd will join actress and entrepreneur Jessica Alba, John Jacobs, co-founder of the Life is Good brand, women’s rights pioneer Gloria Steinem and Nobel Peace Prize winner Leymah Gbowee at the women’s event in the tri-state area, to be held at Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia on November 19, 2015.

Alba and Jacobs will deliver keynote speeches and will also team up with Steinem for a conversation on impacting social change at the Conference, which will feature 150+ speakers. Poet and homeless activist Marquesha Babers will be a special guest speaker.

Lloyd is an American professional soccer player for the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team and the National Women’s Soccer League’s Houston Dash. She became an instant international hero and shattered scoring records leading the U.S. Women’s World Cup team to victory.

A two-time Olympic Gold Medalist, Lloyd led the 2015 World Cup team in bringing the Cup back to the U.S. for the first time since 1999. During the final match against Japan, Lloyd scored a historic hat trick, with all three goals occurring within the first 16 minutes of the game.

Her third and final goal of the game was widely described as one of the greatest shots of all time. Off the field, Lloyd is a role model who empowers fans to never give up on achieving their goals.

“We are thrilled that Carli Lloyd will be joining us as a keynote speaker this year,” said Leslie Stiles, Board President of the Pennsylvania Conference for Women. “The boundary-breaking drive, success and enthusiasm that make her an international role model for girls and women everywhere exemplifies what the Conference is all about.”

The 12th annual Conference hosts women for a full day of networking, inspiration, professional development and personal growth. The nonpartisan, nonprofit Conference features keynote addresses, and breakout sessions led by experts in the fields of business, philanthropy, health, finance, media and professional development.
