Host Jennifer Granholm, the two-term former Governor of Michigan, will provide viewers with a first-hand look at the headquarters that houses the highest profile war room in the current election.
Current TV’s “The War Room with Jennifer Granholm” launches on Monday, Jan. 30 at 9pm ET with an exclusive look inside the Obama campaign war room in Chicago, Illinois.
During the premiere episode, Granholm (pictured above) will be joined by 2012 Massachusetts Senatorial candidate Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), the former chair of the Congressional Oversight Panel for the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP).[ Also Read: Dan Rather Reports 2012 Presidential Election ]
The Governor will also be joined by former White House press secretary and 2012 campaign advisor Robert Gibbs who will dive into the current campaign strategy for the President and the Democratic Party.
Regular segments on “The War Room” will include: ‘What’s Working,’ a twice weekly segment aimed at examining specific policies and how the Government can make a difference; ‘The Big Money of Politics,’ which will shed light on how money, including SuperPACS, are impacting politics; ‘State of our States,’ a nightly segment where the Governor will bring news from various state capitols to examine the election and policy issues which dominate the agenda; and ‘Shush, Brett’s Talking,’ providing comedic relief from writer and producer Brett Ehrlich (infoMania, The Rotten Tomatoes Show), who will give his humorous take on the day’s political news.[ Also Read: Meet the U.S. Presidential Candidates on Facebook ]
Executive produced by Mark Berniker, a 25-year veteran of the news business in television, online and print, “The War Room” will cap off a nightly roster of progressive news analysis and political commentary beginning at 7pm ET/PT with “The Young Turks with Cenk Uygur,” to be followed at 8pm ET/PT by “Countdown with Keith Olbermann” on the Peabody-and Emmy Award-winning television network.
