Thousands of farmers and workers have converged in Delhi from all parts of India to protest against the failures of the Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi government in protecting their rights.

Kisan-Mazdoor Sangharsh rally which is being held today in the Ramlila Maidan of New Delhi is stated to be the biggest demonstration against any PM of India. The protesters have reached the Parliament Street and will march toward the traditional protest venue Jantar Mantar.

Their demands include implementation of effective labour laws, minimum wages for workers, education for all, youth employment, and recognition of 10 million Anganwadi and ASHA (Accredited Social Health Activists) community workers as a workforce.

The rally has been organized by different outfits affiliated to CPI(M) — Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU), All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS), and All India Agriculture Workers Union (AIAWU).
