Tim Hortons’ Game Day Donuts for Football Fans

Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop is serving up the ultimate treat for the ultimate football fan. The bakery cafe chain’s Game Day Donuts are back in restaurants and ready to be the sweetest treat at football fanatics’ tailgates this season, suggests the company.

The custom created Vanilla Dip donuts are adorned with sprinkles in team colors for high school, college and professional teams. New in 2013 is the limited edition Football Donut—a football shaped donut dipped in chocolate fondant and finished with white frosting as football laces.

“We are proud to call a number of collegiate and professional sport programs our partners,” said Mike Meilleur, executive vice president, Tim Hortons U.S. “Our Game Day Donut collection gives our guests, many of whom are avid sports fans, the chance to enjoy a delicious donut with a great cup of coffee and cheer on their local team.”

In addition to the Game Day Donut collection, Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop offers its guests—especially families—tailgate essentials like the Take Ten boxed coffee or hot chocolate to-go, Timbits and other assorted baked goods.

Game Day Donuts retail for regular donut price per market and are available in half-dozen or dozen quantities. It was announced Monday, August 19.

Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop is the official coffee of select NCAA and NFL teams and the official coffee served at a number of collegiate and professional sports venues, including the Ohio State University Athletics, Michigan State Athletics, University of Michigan Athletics, as well as the Buffalo Bills and Detroit Lions.
