The U.S. President-elect Donald Trump has decided to dissolve the Donald J. Trump (DJT) Foundation. Trump informed that his Foundation has done enormous good work over the years in contributing millions of dollars to countless worthy groups, including supporting veterans, law enforcement officers and children.

“However, to avoid even the appearance of any conflict with my role as President I have decided to continue to pursue my strong interest in philanthropy in other ways,” Trump said.

Trump added that he has given millions of dollars to DJT Foundation, raised or received millions more, all of which is given to charity, and media won’t report about his charity work.

Meanwhile, he has directed his counsel to take the necessary steps to effectuate the dissolution. He also said that the Foundation has operated at essentially no cost for decades, with 100% of the money going to charity.

“Because I will be devoting so much time and energy to the Presidency and solving the many problems facing our country and the world, I don’t want to allow good work to be associated with a possible conflict of interest,” Trump expressed.

Although Trump has praised the work of his DJT Foundation, it is mired in extreme controversy, criticism, and scrutiny. The Foundation has been fined for making political contributions and admitted engaging in self-dealing practices to benefit Trump, his family, and businesses.

The Inauguration Day ceremony will take place on January 20, 2017 when Trump is scheduled to begin his four-year term as President.

He can’t shut it down because it is under investigation. It will have to remain open until this is over. The only thing he can shut is his mouth, but will he???
