Wave Vodka Presents Frozen Drink Recipes

Wave Vodka has created some frozen drink recipes showcasing its portfolio, including new flavors Chocolate Covered Pretzel and Frosted Cinnamon Bun, plus Cake, Cherry, Coconut, and Whipped Cream.

“Consumers continue to crave new and fun ways to drink flavored vodkas,” said Tracey Clapp, marketing director, vodkas. “We’ve come up with some recipes for summer that are both creative and refreshing, sure to satisfy anyone looking for something different to cool them off.”

Wave Vodka worked with Chicago-based food blogger Stefanie Bundalo of Sarcastic Cooking on the creation of these recipes.  “Frozen drinks are so fun and easy to make when entertaining. It was exciting to be able to experiment with the great palate of Wave flavors and come up with some new and refreshing ways to drink them,” said Bundalo.

Here are some hot recipes for a cold drink, just in time for summer entertaining:

Wave Frozen Drinks Recipes

All the recipes make two regular or four small drinks with the exception of the coconut vodka recipe, which makes one regular drink or two small ones.

Banana Cream Pie

  • 1 Frozen Banana, peeled
  • 3 Ounces Wave Whipped Cream Vodka
  • 1 Cup Vanilla Ice Cream, about 4-5 scoops
  • ¼ Cup Milk

Combine Ingredients in a blender. Blend until smooth. Top with whipped cream and crumbled graham crackers.

Caramel & Chocolate Covered Pretzel

  • 4 Ounces Wave Chocolate Covered Pretzel Vodka
  • 2 ½ Cups Chocolate Ice Cream, about 6-8 scoops
  • 3 Tablespoons Caramel Sauce

Add a tablespoon of caramel to the bottom of each glass. Combine vodka, ice cream, and tablespoon of caramel sauce in a blender. Blend until smooth. Pour shake over caramel sauce and serve with a chocolate covered pretzel rod and whipped cream.

Cherry Root Beer

  • 4 Ounces Wave Cherry Vodka
  • ½ Cup Root Beer
  • 1 Cup Vanilla Ice Cream

Combine ingredients in a blender. Blend until smooth. Serve with whipped cream and a maraschino cherry.

Key Lime Coconut

  • ½ Cup Canned Light Coconut Milk
  • 3 Ounces Wave Coconut Vodka
  • 2 Teaspoons Lime Zest
  • 1 Tablespoon Lime Juice
  • 2 Cups Plain Frozen Yogurt, about 8-9 scoops
  • Shredded coconut and lime slices for garnish.

Combine ingredients in a blender. Blend until smooth. Combine a little bit of honey and water on a small plate. Add the shredded coconut to a different small plate. Dip the rim of each glass into the honey and then the coconut. Pour the shake into each glass. Garnish with lime slice.

Red Eye Cinnamon Bun

  • 1 Cup Cold Brewed Coffee
  • 3 Ounces Wave Frosted Cinnamon Bun Vodka
  • 2 Cups Ice, about 10 large ice cubes
  • ¾ Cup Vanilla Ice Cream, 4 scoops

Combine ingredients in a blender. Blend until smooth. Top with whipped cream and shaved chocolate.

Strawberry Shortcake

  • ½ Slice Angel Food Cake/ Pound cake
  • 3 Ounces Wave Cake Vodka
  • 1 Cup Frozen Strawberries
  • 1 Cup Vanilla Ice Cream, about 4 – 5 scoops
  • ½ Cup Milk

Combine Ingredients in a blender. Blend until smooth. Serve shakes topped with whipped cream and a tiny piece of pound cake.
