Adult products company Adamandeve.com is interested in adults’ thoughts on sex. This month, the company asked over 1,000 adults if they felt prostitution should be legal.

A surprising 58% said they believed prostitution should be legal, while 41% believe it should remain illegal. Interestingly, 68% of male respondents felt it should be legal, while 50% of the females felt it should.

“Values and mores change over time,” says Dr. Kat Van Kirk, resident sexpert for adamandeve.com. “With the legalization and decriminalization of marijuana in much of the U.S, perhaps it is time to revisit our stance on prostitution as well.”
