Netflix to Stream Clifford The Big Red Dog

Internet television network Netflix and Scholastic Media have announced Netflix as the exclusive streaming home of Clifford the Big Red Dog.

All Netflix members will be able to enjoy the series beginning on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14 – which is also the star canine’s birthday. Members in Brazil will be able to stream the series beginning in May.

The Emmy award-winning television series stars the dog: Clifford.

Based on the book series by Norman Bridwell, first published by Scholastic in 1963, the franchise has expanded to include 127 million books in print and remains a literary classic embraced by parents, teachers and kids, says the company.

“Globally recognized as the lovable role model that he is, Clifford is a great addition to our catalog of family-friendly TV shows,” said Ted Sarandos, Netflix chief content officer.
