Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed an executive order for establishing a national public-state organisation Russian Cultural Foundation.
According to a Kremlin communique issued Monday, Putin ordered the creation of the Foundation in cooperation with public associations and individuals.
The objective is to consolidate the efforts of the state and civil society to create an environment that encourages people to realise their creative potential, to preserve cultural values and revive cultural traditions, to popularise Russian culture, and to expand the cultural potential of the Russian regions.
The Ministry of Culture shall be the founder of the Russian Cultural Foundation on behalf of the Russian Federation.
The order defines the organisational structure of the Foundation and the involvement of the Ministry of Culture in identifying its key activities and achieving its objectives.
The instructions issued to the Government concern property issues related to the Russian Cultural Foundation, its location, and the procedure for issuing subsidies to it.
