Julianna is New Brand Ambassador for L’Oreal

L’Oreal USA informs about a new addition to the L’Oreal Paris list of spokespeople. The beauty care company has signed actress, Julianna Margulies, as a new brand ambassador.

“Entering into a partnership with Julianna Margulies is truly exciting for us,” said Cyril Chapuy, global brand president, L’Oreal Paris.

Margulies, according to L’Oreal Paris, has entered into an exclusive North American contract to appear in advertising campaigns for L’Oreal Paris, which will debut in the United States beginning in 2011.

“I’m honored to represent a brand that is rich in history, synonymous with beauty and reflective of the modern woman,” said Julianna Margulies.

She currently stars in the series “The Good Wife,” on CBS.  After the first season, Margulies won a Golden Globe and SAG award for her portrayal of Alicia Florrick, the loyal yet betrayed wife of a politician who must re-enter the work force after her husband is sent to prison.

She also starred for six seasons on the series, “ER,” in which she earned multiple awards, including an Emmy, Golden Globe and several SAG awards. 

Most recently she starred in “City Island,” which won the audience award at the Tribeca Film Festival.

The announcement was made Monday, Sept. 27.
