Congress presidents Rahul Gandhi today launched its recently introduced Shakti (strength) program in Amethi.

It is a mass contact program to encourage people to join the Congress party. It has already been introduced in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and Maharashtra.

“After the success in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and Maharashtra, the Shakti program was launched in Amethi by Congress President Rahul Gandhi,” Congress tweeted today.

The program is supposed to bring a performance-based culture in the traditional Congress party. It is learnt that the leaders who perform well by bringing more members in the party will get higher posts in district or blocks.

Moreover, they will be honored at party functions and get a chance to meet Rahul Gandhi to share their views.

One of the objectives of Shakti program is to give power in the hands of workers who keep a constant touch with the voters. It will give the necessary impetus to the Congress party in the upcoming Lok Sabha election as well as assembly elections.

Congress has announced that Rahul Gandhi will begin the party’s Lok Sabha election campaign from Gujarat. He will visit Junagadh, Rajkot, and Bhavnagar districts in the Saurashtra region on July 11 and July 15.
