Hindu Leader Rahul Gandhi Says PM Modi Insults People of India

Congress president Rahul Gandhi today said that the Prime Minister (PM) of India Narendra Modi is insulting the people of the country by saying that there was no progress in India during the past about 70 years.

He is visiting Madhya Pradesh and paid his obeisance to Maa Pitambhara at a temple in Datia district. He prayed for the prosperity of the nation.

Rahul Gandhi – who is emerging as the most popular Hindu leader in India – said when India got independence 70 years ago, the entire country was poor as there were no roads, no railway lines, no aeroplanes, no colleges, and no universities.

He added that India has progressed a lot during the past 70 years, yet Modi says there was no progress. “PM Modi in his August 15th speech says that there was no progress until he arrived. This is an insult to the people who have contributed their sweat and blood for this nation,” the Congress president said.

He added that in the past 70 years India has progressed in such a way that former US President Barack Obama says that India is one of the main competitors of USA. “This is the contribution of farmers, small businesses, youth and women,” Rahul Gandhi said.
