Lizard Found in Mid-Day Meal of Delhi School

Two children were hospitalized today after taking the mid-day meal served in a Delhi Government school. A lizard was found in the meal that affected the health of children.

Delhi education minister Manish Sisodia tweeted that he visited the school on receiving the complaint of a lizard in the meal.

Sisodia added that the government will not tolerate such carelessness under any circumstances. He also tweeted that a police complaint is being filed against the meal supplier and his contract has been terminated.

The government has given the contract for all the 61 schools under the terminated contractor to the nearest supplier, Sisodia informed.

It is said that the wall lizard found in most homes is not poisonous.
