Marvel Marathon at AMC to Feature Six Movies

This spring, Marvel’s greatest Super Heroes will unite forces in MARVEL’S THE AVENGERS. Before they do, see how each of their stories began when select AMC Theatres locations host The Ultimate Marvel Marathon, beginning on May 3 at 11:30 a.m. and leading into the midnight release of one of the most anticipated movies of 2012 – MARVEL’S THE AVENGERS.

“These characters and stories have entertained millions of guests on the big screen, and as they all come together for MARVEL’S THE AVENGERS, The Ultimate Marvel Marathon is the perfect opportunity to catch up, or refresh, on the adventures that brought us to this point,” said Robert J. Lenihan, president of Film Programming at AMC Theatres.

The Ultimate Marvel Marathon begins at 11:30 a.m. and will feature these films in order: IRON MAN, THE INCREDIBLE HULK, IRON MAN 2, THOR (presented in RealD 3D), CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER (presented in RealD 3D), MARVEL’S THE AVENGERS (presented in RealD 3D) [at 12:01 a.m. May 4]

For $40, fans can experience the marathon, including MARVEL’S THE AVENGERS. Each guest will receive a pair of limited-edition Avenger character RealD 3D glasses and an event lanyard.

AMC Stubs members who purchase a ticket prior to May 3 will receive $5 Bonus Bucks on their AMC Stubs account, valid the day of the event. Tickets are on sale now at select participating locations. The full list of participating theatres will be available today, March 16.

AMC Theatres delivers movie-going experiences in 347 theatres with 5,048 screens across the United States and Canada.
