President Donald Trump said Monday that he is looking forward for his next meeting with the supreme leader of North Korea Kim Jong Un.

Trump said he had a Christmas eve briefing with his team working on North Korea and assessed the progress being made. “Looking forward to my next summit with Chairman Kim!” Trump tweeted.

In October, Trump had hailed a meeting between Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and the North Korean leader.

“Secretary Pompeo had a good meeting with Chairman Kim in Pyongyang,” Trump had said, adding that there was a progress made on Singapore Summit agreements. “I look forward to seeing Chairman Kim again, in the near future,” Trump said.

Trump also had claimed that Kim Jong Un has agreed to allow inspections of nuclear sites in his country. Trump believes that now there will be no rocket or nuclear testing by North Korea.

Earlier in June this year, Trump had met his counterpart North Korean leader Kim Jong Un at an exclusive summit in Singapore. The United States delegation at the bilateral meeting included Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Chief of Staff John Kelly, and National Security Advisor John Bolton.
