Running at 3,641 locations, X-Men: First Class (20th Century Fox) earned $56 million at the U.S. box office during the first three days of its release.

Rentrak Corporation has announced the official weekend theatrical box office numbers for the weekend period of June 3-5, 2011 according to the company’s Box Office Essentials theatrical box office data collection and analytical service.

Hangover 2 (Warner Bros.) collected $32.5 million with a cumulative revenue of $187 million. And Kung Fu Panda 2 (Paramount) got $24 million during the three-day period with a total of over $100 million since its release.

Fast Five (Universal Pictures), which opened in the U.S. on April 29, has so far collected over $200 million.
