His protest was part of the ongoing campaign led by a social activist Anna Hazare against rampant corruption in the government circles of India.

Ramdev demanded that the black money amounting to billions of dollars stashed away by the corrupt politicians and others in foreign banks must be brought back to India and should be declared as national asset.

While Indian government is dilly-dallying to deal with corruption with a firm anti-corruption law, Anna Hazare and Ramdev supported by millions of people in India have decided to continue their protest.
