Executives and guests of FORTUNE magazine visited the New York Stock Exchange on Friday, May 6 to celebrate the May 5th launch of the annual FORTUNE 500 list, a ranking of the 500 largest corporations in the United States, ranked by revenue for the 2010 fiscal year.
[ Also Read: Is the TIME Right to Honor Zuckerberg of Facebook? ]It says 84% of the publicly traded companies are listed on the New York Stock Exchange. NYSE Euronext is in the S&P 500 index, and is the only exchange operator in the Fortune 500.
