Gwen Stefani New Face of L’Oreal Paris

A unique voice, a fashion icon, a rock star… Gwen Stefani is clearly a phenomenon of the 21st century, believes L’Oreal Paris. The front woman of rock band No Doubt, she also released two highly successful dance records, which furthered her iconic status.

L’Oreal Paris has taken her as the brand’s new face. It was announced Friday, Jan. 14.

“I can’t believe I get to be one of the L’Oreal Paris girls. I love playing dress up, on stage or shooting videos, it’s always been one of my favorite parts of being in a band. And to get to work with such a modern, talented group of people is really exciting. I’m a lucky, lucky girl,” says Gwen Stefani.

“Gwen is a stunning artist with mesmerizing talent and we are thrilled to have her on board. She takes beauty to another dimension, somewhere between style and art. Gwen Stefani (pictured above) is fascinating. She has been a member of the band No Doubt since they met in high school and began playing music in their garage.

A composer, songwriter and singer, Gwen Stefani has given a voice to millions of girls across the world, says the company.

No Doubt has sold more than 30 million copies of their albums including Tragic Kingdom, Return of Saturn and Rock Steady. The band received many Grammy nominations and won two in 2003.

Gwen’s icon status continued to grow with the release of her Grammy-nominated side project Love. Angel. Music. Baby. which came out in 2004. On this album she worked with many notable contributors including Dr. Dre, the rapper Eve and Pharell Williams.

In 2006, Gwen released her second dance record The Sweet Escape and won the 2008 People’s Choice Award for favorite female singer of the year.

After wrapping up a sold out summer tour in 2009, No Doubt has begun recording their new album for release in 2011.
