Fan to Stream Music Wirelessly in Bathrooms

Homewerks Worldwide LLC, a supplier of residential plumbing and HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) products, has introduced its first Bluetooth-enabled ventilation bath fan that streams music wirelessly in home bathrooms.

With 56 percent of smartphone owners using it for music listening, the Homewerks Bluetooth Bath Fan is an upgrade for tech-savvy homeowners looking to streamline their home-audio listening, or a family with a music-loving teen.

The Bluetooth Bath Fan connects to most Bluetooth-enabled smartphones, tablets and laptops from up to 30 feet away. After the initial set-up, the fan connects to devices automatically when it’s in range of the speaker.

Retailing at under $149, the Bluetooth Bath Fan provides an affordable option to upgrade and customize a bathroom. The quiet fan (1.5 Sones) generates air movement (90 CFM) and delivers a crisp speaker sound. The white design mounts seamlessly into the ceiling and provides a significant upgrade over standard builder-grade fans, says the company.

The Bluetooth Bath Fan will be available online and in stores at The Home Depot, Lowe’s, Ace Hardware, True Value Hardware and Orchard Supply Hardware beginning this month, September 2013.
