Most people believe that in 5 years, Kejriwal and AAP have caused such a damage to Delhi that now it will take it almost 50 years to recover from the ruins.

As the Assembly election for Delhi is around the corner, major political parties in the local race have started their campaigns to woo the voters.

While the monolithic party Congress is already dead, Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Narendra Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are aggressively trying to beat each other in the electoral battle that is expected to take place in the beginning of 2020.

Kejriwal’s AAP – which won 67 of the 70 Assembly seats in Delhi in 2015 election to form the government – started Sunday (September 1) a public contact program under the banner Jan Samvad Yatra.

AAP’s Delhi convener Gopal Rai will spearhead the program that aims to interact with people of Delhi until October 3. The drive, according to AAP, will cover 2 Assembly constituencies every day.

Similarly, the local BJP has launched ‘Delhi Bachao Parivartan Yatra‘ or ‘Save Delhi’ campaign to expose AAP government’s failures during the past 5 years.

Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari – who is expected to be the chief ministerial candidate – is leading the campaign that is supposed to defeat AAP in the election. BJP won only 3 Assembly seats in 2015.

However, keeping in view its performance in the 2019 Lok Sabha election, BJP is poised to win the Delhi Assembly election comfortably. Thanks largely to the electronic voting machines (EVMs), which always prefer BJP, Modi’s party won all the 7 Lok Sabha seats. The extinction of Congress and AAP’s failures will also help BJP win.

Destruction of Delhi

In fact, Delhi has become a virtual hell under Kejriwal’s rule. Most people believe that in 5 years, Kejriwal and AAP have caused such a damage to Delhi that now it will take it almost 50 years to recover from the ruins.

Today, Delhi is among the most polluted and the dirtiest cities of the world and corruption is rampant in every street of Delhi while Kejriwal government never tried to control it.

Similarly, the education standards – particularly in Delhi schools – are going from bad to worse while Kejriwal has no interest in improving the quality of education. Rather, Kejriwal and his party colleagues are making false claims about Delhi school education.

Kejriwal and his liar friends hoodwink the people by equating quality of school education with the school buildings. Strangely, Kejriwal and his colleagues claim that they have improved the education standards by constructing cement buildings and classrooms.

Kejriwal is also going gaga over the hyped performance of his Mohalla Clinics. But people in Delhi complain about the futility of such a flawed health care concept. People told RMN News Service that mostly these so-called community health care centers are locked and when they open they fail to provide proper medical treatment. Even the so-called physicians at Mohalla Clinics are not fully qualified.

False Promises

Earlier, to win election, Kejriwal had made false promises of removing corruption. But now instead of dealing with bureaucratic corruption, Kejriwal and his political colleagues themselves are allegedly involved in a number of corruption cases.

While there are multiple complaints of corruption against AAP legislators, recently the party decided to defy the notice from Delhi’s anti-corruption body Lokayukta which had asked AAP MLAs to reveal the details of their assets.

While bureaucratic and political corruption is rampant in Delhi, new reports suggest that the office of Delhi’s Lokayukta has received 41 complaints of corruption against the AAP legislators. The complaints are against the AAP MLAs as well as ministers.

Like other politicians in India, AAP leaders also evade prosecution and imprisonment in cases of crime and corruption with the false pretexts that the complaints against them are politically motivated.

Now it is such a chaos in all departments under Kejriwal government that its ministers should have new titles such as Corruption Minister, Pollution Minister, Uneducated Minister, Unhealthy Minister, and Lawless Minister.

While AAP expects to win the Delhi election, it will be a defeat for the people of Delhi if they elected Kejriwal and AAP in the Assembly election.
