Jerry Springer Hosts New Series Tabloid

Investigation Discovery’s new guilty pleasure series, Tabloid, is premiering Thursday, Jan. 16 at 10/9c.

The one-hour show, hosted by the Emmy Award-winning king of tabloid television, Jerry Springer, peels back the curtain to probe the most bizarre larger-than-life stories you can’t possibly imagine, suggests Investigation Discovery.

“There’s no one better to guide viewers through the scandalous stories seen in Tabloid than the man who has spent decades unveiling the most outrageous tales — Jerry Springer,” said Henry Schleiff, group president, Investigation Discovery, Destination America, and Military Channel.

“Jerry is the perfect host for ID as we capture infamous headlines from across the country – from the Bling Ring to the ‘headless body in the topless bar’ — this show has it all!”

“You can’t make this stuff up,” said Springer. “Life invariably outruns imagination when it comes to outrageousness.”

Springer brings more than 20 years of experience working with outrageous characters.

Baring all of the twists and turns, and macabre motivations behind eye-catching criminal accounts, Tabloid unearths the most mind-blowing headlines of your favorite checkout line magazines exposing the biggest stories of the day.

Investigation Discovery (ID) is a leading mystery-and-suspense network on television. It is part of Discovery Communications (Nasdaq: DISCA, DISCB, DISCK), the world’s top nonfiction media company.
