The Mercedes-Benz Club of America (MBCA) will team-up with the BMW Car Club of America and Audi Club North America on Friday, August 15 to co-host Legends of the Autobahn 2014 — a one-day auto festival showcasing the very best of German automotive engineering.

Now in its fifth year, and with several thousand visitors expected, “Legends” has earned ‘must see’ status during the world-famous Pebble Beach Car Week.

Legends will be held on the grounds of Nicklaus Club Monterey on the Monterey Peninsula, from 8am-3pm. Nearly 250 Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Audi vehicles, owned by their respective Club Members, will be on display for official concours judging and casual spectator viewing.

“At our first Legends of the Autobahn, we had about 40 Mercedes-Benz vehicles registered (for display). This year, the number of registered Mercedes has more than doubled. The build-up and excitement surrounding this year’s event is palpable,” reports Laura Simonds, national VP of MBCA and National Legends co-chair.

In addition to vehicle displays, Legends will celebrate the theme of motorsport. MBCA will embrace Mercedes-Benz’s 2014 theme, “120 Years of Motorsport” which dates back to the first car race in history; from victories at Grands Prix — Targo Florio and 24 Hours of Le Mans; Silver Arrows, Gull Wing and AMG victories — to present-day DTM and Formula One races as well as Fintail and SLC rally championships.
