As Congress has stepped up its Lok Sabha election campaign in Delhi, today local Congress leaders held a bicycle rally under the banner ‘दिल्ली हाथ के साथ‘ to woo the voters.

They also registered a police complaint against BJP MP Harsh Vardhan with the allegation that he disappeared from his Chandni Chowk area after winning the election.

While Harsh Vardhan is also the environment minister in the BJP government, he failed miserably to protect environment in the city and Delhi has become the most polluted capital of the world.

Although there were whispers that Congress will join hands with Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), now it appears that Congress has dumped Kejriwal who was imploring Congress for a tie-up because of AAP’s dwindling clout in Delhi.

The Congress decision to stay away from Kejriwal makes sense. Kejriwal – who tells lies even when truth would suffice – had announced to sit on an indefinite hunger strike from 1st March to demand full statehood for Delhi. He had added that he will continue his hunger strike and was ready to die in it.

With the announcement of his possible death, many people – who know Kejriwal inside out – were very excited to think that the already dirty Indian politics will get rid of one of the most immoral politicians in the Indian history. Alas, it did not happen. It was yet another lie of Kejriwal who sheepishly dropped the idea of sitting on hunger strike.

Destruction of Delhi

In fact, Delhi has become a virtual hell under Kejriwal’s rule. Most people believe that in 4 years, Kejriwal and AAP have caused such a damage to Delhi that now it will take it almost 40 years to recover from the ruins.

Today, Delhi is among the most polluted and the dirtiest cities of the world and corruption is rampant in every street of Delhi while Kejriwal government never tried to control it.

Similarly, the education standards – particularly in Delhi schools – are going from bad to worse while Kejriwal has no interest in improving the quality of education. Rather, Kejriwal and his party colleagues are making false claims about Delhi school education.

While Kejriwal is going gaga over the hyped performance of his Mohalla Clinics, people in Delhi complain about the futility of such a flawed health care concept.

Earlier, to win election, Kejriwal had made false promises of removing corruption. But now instead of dealing with bureaucratic corruption, Kejriwal and his political colleagues themselves are allegedly involved in a number of corruption cases.

While there are multiple complaints of corruption against AAP legislators, recently the party decided to defy the notice from Delhi’s anti-corruption body Lokayukta which has asked AAP MLAs to reveal the details of their assets.

As bureaucratic and political corruption is rampant in Delhi, new reports suggest that the office of Delhi’s Lokayukta has received 41 complaints of corruption against the AAP legislators. The complaints are against the AAP MLAs as well as ministers.

While Kejriwal and AAP have destroyed Delhi, Sheila Dikshit, president of the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee, said that she will defeat AAP to win all the 7 Delhi Lok Sabha seats, which are currently held by BJP.

A few days ago, Congress president Rahul Gandhi had stated that Congress will not have any alliance with Kejriwal’s AAP in the Lok Sabha election. While AAP expects to win all Lok Sabha seats, it will be a defeat for the people of Delhi if they elected even one AAP politician in the election.

The Lok Sabha election in Delhi will take place in the sixth phase on May 12, while the counting of votes will happen on May 23.
