Ringier Studios Champions League on Samsung Apps

Ringier Studios, Inc., a California-based app developer, has unveiled its Champions League: True Passion, Big Business tablet appazine for free exclusively on Samsung Apps for most Samsung GALAXY devices.

“Smart devices are revolutionary and the people who use them daily are waiting to be entertained and amazed,” said Douglas Kaplan, CEO, Ringier Studios, Inc.

“So we decided to take a different approach in designing our Ringier Studios Champions League appazine with a focus on making it a truly interactive, exploratory and exciting experience for the tournament’s loyal fans.”

Given the versatility of the tablet, the company says, this appazine ushers the legendary soccer tournament into a new digital era for millions of soccer fans and sports enthusiasts worldwide.

The way the app revels the tournament’s greatest plays, players and the history behind it all, right in the palm of one’s hands, is a phenomenal experience. From swiping through the Champions League timeline to building a dream team, the appazine has it all – giving the words swipe, swirl and scroll a whole new meaning.

In addition to great story telling the appazine also features interactive multi-media images and videos. Some of the features that take advantage of tablet technology are:

Exclusive Video Interviews: Interviews with five great soccer legends – Steve McManaman, Stephane Chapuisat, Ottmar Hitzfeld, Giovanni van Bronckhorst and Franco Baresi. Fans can swipe through questions and pick a legend to answer them.

3D-Animation: The appazine lets fans relive over twenty of the tournament’s greatest moments like those splendid goals by Zidane and Ronaldinho and even Schmeichel’s and Ver Der Sar’s great saves, all in 3D-animated videos.

Build a Dream Team: This interactive feature allows fans to build their own soccer dream team from a pick list of Champions League players and then share it with their friends on Facebook and Twitter.

Interactive Chapters: Fans can explore the mystique, money and moments that surround this prestigious soccer tournament through editorial pieces like ‘The Mystique’, on the fifteen teams and key moments of the finals over the years. ‘The Money’ allows fans to follow the big earners including the League’s star players with interactive graphics. It even includes a multidimensional view on the making of today’s Champions League gear.

With the Champions League playoffs next week, Ringier Studios has partnered with Samsung on its new app release. The Samsung GALAXY Note’s portable 5.3″ HD Super AMOLED screen allows fans to bring the tournament to life anytime, anywhere, the company says.

To experience the true wonder of the Ringier Studios Champions League appazine, produced with sponsoring partner Switzerland Tourism, fans can download it for free exclusively on the Samsung Apps store.

In addition to the new GALAXY Note, the appazine is available for download on most Samsung GALAXY devices. Fans can also connect with Ringier Studios on Facebook and Twitter.
