As air pollution has been persisting in Delhi, the Delhi Government headed by chief minister Arvind Kejriwal is not taking any steps to combat the menace.

Although Kejriwal is using Twitter frequently to solve the pollution problem by retweeting his photos, Twitter has shown its inability to help. And pollution persists.

The opposition party BJP has blamed Kejriwal saying that his government is not doing anything to improve the air quality.

In this regard, a delegation of Delhi BJP along with Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari and Leader of Opposition Vijender Gupta lodged their protest with the Lt. Governor of Delhi Anil Baijal.

Delhi BJP also has urged the Lt. Governor to direct all government and private hospitals to set up 24-hour free chest clinics to help people.

In their complaint, the BJP leaders highlighted the failure of the Delhi Government in improving the environment in spite of having Rs. 1002 crore fund collected by it as Environment Cess.

The BJP leaders said that the people of Delhi are suffering due to heavy pollution during the last 10 days and the Kejriwal Government did not take any scientific steps to improve the environment.

Delhi BJP urged the Lt. Governor to seek a report into non utilization or possible diversion of Environment Cess from the Environment Department and direct the Government to immediately purchase 8,000 new buses for Delhi.
