Shay Mitchell to Speak for Haircare Brand

Actress Shay Mitchell is the new spokesperson for the Pantene Pro-V Nature Fusion collection. Beginning in February 2011, Mitchell will appear in a new print advertising campaign that was developed by Grey Worldwide, Inc.

Brand owner P&G describes: Mitchell is known for her role as Emily Fields on the ABC Family original hit series, Pretty Little Liars. The rising star embodies what it means to be a natural beauty in the modern world.

Her approach to beauty through health is not only relatable to women but also embraces Pantene’s core values. Mitchell joins a long list of Pantene Pro-V spokespeople, including fashion maven Stacy London.

“I am very excited to be working with Pantene Pro-V,” said Mitchell. “Out of all of the hair products I’ve tried, Nature Fusion is the collection I trust to keep my hair healthy and beautiful. I’m ready to spread the word to my fans that anyone can have show-stopping hair. The trick is to keep your hair healthy with the right products so you can achieve the styles you want.”

The advertisements will feature Mitchell in three youthful looks, modeling side braids, full-body volume and beautiful shine.

At the advertising shoot, stylists prepped Mitchell’s strands using the Pantene Pro-V Nature Fusion collection and styled it with the Pantene Pro-V Medium-Thick Hair Solutions styling products.

“Shay was a natural choice as the new spokesperson for Pantene Pro-V because of her energetic persona and beautiful, healthy hair,” commented Julie Marchant-Houle, marketing director of North American Hair Care at Procter & Gamble (P&G).

“She will be a wonderful role model for young women and we are proud to have her represent our brand and connect with our younger fans.”

The company says Pantene Pro-V Nature Fusion shampoos contain the proprietary Cassia Complex which provides strength against damage from root to tip. And the Pantene Pro-V Nature Fusion conditioners with naturally derived ingredients help improve manageability and leave hair beautifully conditioned.

The announcement was made Tuesday, Jan. 4.
