Good and Bad Celebrity Baby Names of 2012

BabyCenter, a pregnancy and parenting mobile and web destination, has announced its list of the most and least favorite celebrity baby names of 2012.

Based on responses from more than 4,000 moms, BabyCenter found that moms adored Katherine Heigl and Josh Kelley’s name choice, Adalaide Marie. Also topping the list is Vivian Lake, daughter of Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady, as well as Olive, daughter of Drew Barrymore and Will Kopelman.

“Passing judgment on celebrity baby names is a national sport for moms today,” says Linda Murray, BabyCenter global editor-in-chief.

“Celebrities are now so open about their pregnancies that we feel the right to weigh in on their baby names. Our survey results prove that it’s tough to win public support– even from fans – if celebs choose names that are too quirky or unique, but those who opt for unusual yet classic names can rule the day.”

BabyCenter used its gender prediction tool to calculate that Kate will most likely give birth to a future Queen of England in July and predicts her name will be Victoria Elizabeth.

However, according to a recent BabyCenter poll, U.S. moms think Will and Kate should go with Diana for a baby girl, while mums across the pond think Charlotte is a better choice.
