Joe Mauer to Play with Head & Shoulders

Joe was an easy choice for Head & Shoulders as the brand makes its entry into the world of Major League Baseball. Representing the brand throughout the 2011 MLB season, Joe trusts Head & Shoulders to keep both his head and hair in the game.

“I rely on Head & Shoulders to clean my scalp for great looking hair so I can give 110 percent, both on and off the diamond,” says Joe.

Head & Shoulders, official shampoo of Major League Baseball, announced Tuesday Minnesota Twins All-Star catcher, Joe Mauer, is the newest member to join the brand’s ambassador team, which includes Associated Press Defensive Player of the Year, Troy Polamalu.

Joe will be featured in an integrated campaign that will include traditional advertising, public relations, a dedicated Head & Shoulders for Men Facebook fan page, in-store displays at major retailers, and a consumer engagement movement set to launch in July 2011.

“Sports are a common ground for the people who use our shampoo and having genuine and likeable star athletes like Joe and Troy can help guys become more aware of the importance of hair care and grooming,” says April Anslinger, North America brand manager of Head & Shoulders at Procter & Gamble.
