When almost all pre-election polls were predicting Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton’s win in the U.S. presidential election, her rival Republican nominee Donald Trump was confidently proclaiming that he will win.

Why? Because the voting machines in the U.S. are highly vulnerable to hacking and tampering, and voter databases can be stolen. Plus, it is said that Trump has a talented tech team with unique expertise to handle digital platforms expertly.

Trump knew these facts. That’s why earlier he himself had expressed his apprehension by saying that the November election may be rigged, paving the way for Clinton’s presidency.

But now after winning the election, Trump is complaining about the votes recount demanded by former Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein in the election concluded on November 8.

While Trump is blaming Stein saying that it is a scam to raise money, the latter has dismissed Trump’s allegations and questioned the reasons for his fear from the recounting of votes. “What’s Trump afraid of?” Stein asked.

Stein campaign states that she will fight back, as Trump and allies file legal challenges in all three recount states.

“As Donald’s Trump’s margin in Pennsylvania drops significantly and his team rushes to block recounts in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin, Dr. Jill Stein will host a rally and press conference outside Trump Tower on Monday, December 5 at 10:00AM ET, vowing to fight tooth and nail to verify the accuracy, security, and fairness of the vote,” the Stein campaign stated.

Stein will be joined by grassroots supporters who have fueled her multi-state recount campaign, raising $6.8 million from nearly 150,000 individual donors in just over a week.

Stein and supporters will call on Donald Trump to stop putting party politics above country, and verify the vote through common-sense procedures demanded by voters.

“We won’t stand down as Donald Trump and his allies seek to frivolously obstruct the legal processes set up to ensure we have a voting system we can trust and that all votes have been counted,” said Stein.

Over the past several days, according to Stein campaign, it has become clear that the barriers to verifying the vote in Pennsylvania are so pervasive and that the state court system is so ill-equipped to address this problem that we must seek federal court intervention.

As a result, on Monday the Stein campaign will escalate the campaign in Pennsylvania and file for emergency relief in federal court, demanding a statewide recount on constitutional grounds.
