If wishes were horses, beggars would ride. The saying fits well with Donald Trump who prefers to live in a fool’s paradise.

While the Sword of Damocles is always hanging over his head in the form of the ongoing investigation for his alleged illegal ties with Russia, Trump predicted today that he will stay as President of America for another 7 years – to complete his 2-term presidency.

Surprisingly, Trump linked his prediction with the demise of the media which is releasing truthful stories about Trump’s extreme falsehood, his infatuation with Russia and President Vladimir Putin, his disrespect for the American judicial system, his constant attacks on freedom of press, and his uncivil behavior.

Trump used his favorite toy Twitter to proclaim that in 7 years, when he is not in office the ratings of the media outlets that Trump does not like will dry up and they will vanish. “The Fake News Media is going CRAZY!” Trump stated. But he did not reveal the basis of his prediction.

Trump – who keeps cursing media outlets that carry critical stories exposing his wrongdoings – has vented out his anger on his bêtes noires The New York Times and The Washington Post.

“They will both be out of business in 7 years!,” Trump tweeted recently, without explaining how he calculated the 7 years that the newspapers will take to go out of business.

In all probability, Trump’s predictions will prove to be false like the other lies that he tells at the rate of over 6.5 per day – highest for any world leader.

In fact, most believe that gallows are waiting for Trump. The investigation by special counsel Robert Mueller who is leading a judicial team to know the extent of Trump-Russia ties that allegedly helped Trump win the 2016 presidential race has already reached the White House.

Many of Trump’s associates are already in Mueller’s dragnet and it is expected that soon Trump will also be interrogated for his inappropriate links with Russia.

These days, Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani – who was working hand in glove with Trump during the presidential campaign – is making a last-ditch attempt to save Trump by claiming that “collusion with Russia is not a crime” while Trump keeps saying there was no collusion with Russia.

It is believed that the way Rudy Giuliani was helping Trump in the campaign, he may also be the target of investigation that Mueller is conducting. Conjectures are also rife that Giuliani – who failed to get any post in Trump Administration despite his closeness to Trump – has come to take revenge and will get Trump implicated.

It can be observed from Giuliani’s conflicting statements in the press about Trump and the investigation. In fact, Michael Avenatti – porn star Stormy Daniels‘ attorney who is fighting a case against Trump – ridiculed Giuliani asking him to keep giving press interviews because with his statements Giuliani is damaging Trump’s legal interests.

Most people fail to understand if Giuliani is Trump’s friend or foe. At a time when all odds are stacked against Trump, it may be difficult for him to survive even for 7 month, let alone 7 years for which Trump dreams.
