Bump at First Sight on the Valentine’s Day

On the Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, mobile messaging service BUMP.com will open its digital doors to romantic motorists, passengers and pedestrians for a 24-hour sneak peek.

“BUMP.com is offering the 24-hour sneak peek on Valentine’s Day as a gift before launching with its iPhone and Android apps at South by Southwest (SXSW) this March,” explained Mitch Thrower, BUMP.com’s CEO and founder.

“I recently became engaged and it feels wonderful to have found my perfect match,” Thrower stated.

Research indicates that there are tens of thousands of missed connections on the road everyday, says the company. During the 24-hour Feb. 14 preview, BUMP.com will help connect those missed connections.

The BUMP.com mobile website may also be used to place a call.  You simply say the state and plate then leave your message.  The voicemail is sent and automatically transcribed and posted to the car’s profile. This service is free from BUMP.com.

Registered owners and operators of vehicles, regardless of their relationship status, are encouraged to claim their tag and check to see if they have a greeting already waiting for them.

On Valentine’s Day, users can enter the Beta Invite: “BEMYBUMP” to sneak into the private beta site.

Thrower describes BUMP.com as the solution to the final communication roadblock, “On average, we spend five years of our lives in a car, and 70+ years in a relationship with a vehicle parked somewhere. Motorists have been stuck in the communication stone age, limited to a horn or a paper note for far too long. BUMP.com is breaking down this final barrier in the world of communication.”

BUMP.com is a communications platform that allows users to connect online and offline via unique identifiers including license plates, mobile phones and online profiles.
