Global Magazine Reports on Rafale Corruption in India

The Integrity Bulletin – which covers local and international corruption news and issues to engage with different stakeholders who are trying to combat corruption – has reported about the Rafale scam in India.

In its December 2018 issue, The Integrity Bulletin has carried a story about the 36 Rafale fighter aircraft produced by Dassault Aviation that were sold to India in 2016.

The magazine story describes about the choice of Dassault’s Indian partner, Reliance, a group led by a close partner of the Indian Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi.

As the controversy surrounding the Rafale deal refuses to slow down, major opposition parties are up in arms against the Modi government and Modi’s party BJP.

While BJP leaders are defending Modi’s Rafale deal by giving loose political statements, they are not able to handle the specific queries related to the irregularities in the case.

Now Congress party and other Modi opponents are demanding a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) probe in the Rafale case which is stated to be the biggest scam in the world.
