As it was expected, the weakening political class has finally succumbed to the authority of American ruler Donald Trump.

After demanding his secret tax returns for nearly 2 years, the politicians have finally decided not to press the powerful President on this issue.

A congressional tax oversight committee has decided that it will not ask for Trump’s tax returns despite doubts about his shady business deals with multiple countries including Russia.

The House of Representatives Ways and Means Committee’s Republican chairman Kevin Brady said Monday that President Trump need not release his tax information.

Although Congressman Bill Pascrell, a Democrat in the Ways and Means Committee, has asked for Trump’s tax data, his voice is too feeble.

“President Trump doesn’t have to publicly disclose his tax returns, now or ever. But Congress can request,” Pascrell said without realizing the fact that no request can deter Trump’s resolve.

Pascrell added that America wants full scope of President Trump’s business interests and be assured that he is not taking foreign emoluments as outlawed by our Constitution.

“I will not stop pressing this issue as long as the President’s business interests continue to present potential conflicts for America,” Pascrell asserted.

Here it is pertinent to mention that a lawsuit filed in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York states that Trump is “submerged in conflicts of interest” because of ties with countries such as China, India, and potentially Russia.

Last month, a team of ethics lawyers had filed a complaint against Trump, accusing him of accepting illegal payments for his businesses from foreign governments. The case also demands that Trump must release his tax returns.

Despite repeated demands from Democrats as well as Republicans during the past about 2 years, Trump has refused to release his tax returns. Many believe that Trump’s tax returns can reveal about his shady business deals with Russia and other entities in different parts of the world.

As he has been offering lame excuses about the delay in releasing returns, it is largely believed that he wants to hide something that can put his presidency in jeopardy.

Meanwhile, secret information service WikiLeaks has expressed its intentions to release Trump’s tax returns.

“Trump’s breach of promise over the release of his tax returns is even more gratuitous than Hillary Clinton concealing her Goldman Sachs transcripts,” WikiLeaks said, referring to Clinton’s speeches that WikiLeaks revealed to hit her chances of winning the November election.
