UNICEF supporter Millie Bobby Brown on the set of a video produced for World Children's Day 2018 on 24 August 2018 in New York City in the United States of America. Actor Millie Bobby Brown has teamed up with UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadors Orlando Bloom, Liam Neeson and Lilly Singh; singer-songwriter Dua Lipa and performance artists the Blue Man Group, in a new video released by UNICEF ahead of World Children’s Day, celebrated on 20 November 2018. The short video shows the 14 year-old star – who has symbolically changed her name to Millie Bobby ‘Blue’ to mark the occasion – overseeing a global ‘go blue’ operation. Alongside her team of young helpers, Millie calls on fellow UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadors and supporters to join her in going blue – by wearing or displaying the colour blue – in support of children’s rights. As the story unfolds, viewers see the stars responding to Millie’s call while going about their daily lives. Liam Neeson bakes blue cupcakes while reenacting a famous scene from his cult-hit Taken, Dua is in studio re-recording the lyrics of her global hit Be The One from red to blue, Orlando is on a film set working under his new name – Orlando ‘Bluem’ – and Lilly is at home making ‘blunicorn’ smoothies. UNICEF’s annual World Children’s Day is commemorated each year on 20 November and marks the anniversary of the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child. The global day raises awareness and vital funds for the millions of children who are unschooled, unprotected and uprooted. This year, UNICEF is inviting the public to go online and sign its global petition asking for leaders to commit to fulfilling the rights of every child now and for future generations, and to Go Blue for every child by doing or wearing something blue on 20 November.
