Adult products company Adamandeve.com released Tuesday the findings from its sex survey. The company asked over 1,000 adults how much they spend on a first date.

While most (44%) of those polled said they spend between $1 and $50, 30% say they spend between $51 and $99.

Twelve percent admitted they don’t spend anything, and 15% said they spend over $100.

“Research has shown that men who spend more money on a first date are looking for a serious relationship versus rushing a partner into bed,” says adamandeve.com resident sexpert Dr. Kat Van Kirk.

“Although his bank account shouldn’t be a factor, the amount he’s willing to spend on a first date could be a good indicator of where he sees the relationship going. Obviously, this doesn’t account for first dates that demand going Dutch.”

The web-based survey, conducted by an independent third party survey company, of over 1,000 American adults age 18 and up, was sponsored by Adam & Eve to study sexual preferences and practices.
